After the Digital Foundry review of DIRT 5, many Twitter players approached Codemasters with questions about the quality of the game. As shown by tests by Digital Foundry journalists, the version for the Xbox Series X is noticeably inferior to the version for the Playstation 5, and on the Xbox Series S the game runs quite sadly, with a resolution of up to 570p.
DIRT 5 Development Director Robert Karp responded on Twitter that the team is aware of the problems with the Xbox Series version and is already preparing patches:
I think that with each new generation of consoles, start-up projects are only a superficial part of what consoles are capable of. I am very proud of what the team has accomplished, but we know there is still a lot to be done, including features to be added, bugs to be fixed, additional optimizations and stability improvements.
This is not the end result 🙂 We already have an update that fixes a lot of things in the video and also solves a lot of other things. We also have a great post-launch support plan, so stay tuned

According to rumors, DIRT 5 developers received development tools for Xbox Series X only in summer | S, which is why we could not study them enough to optimize the project. Whereas development tools for Playstation 5 do not differ much from Playstation 4.
