Gigabyte is expanding its Mini-PC series with models with AMD Ryzen 4000 (“Renoir”) in two different sizes. After the manufacturer expanded the Brix Pro product family in mid-October with Ryzen CPUs of the embedded series, Renoir is now also finding its way into the consumer environment.
Renoir follows Tiger Lake and Raven Ridge
In September of this year, Gigabyte had already presented several models of the Brix Pro with the three processors Core i3-1115G, Core i5-1135G7 and Core i7-1165G7 of the Tiger Lake type, primarily with Thunderbolt 4, PCI Express 4.0 and Wi-Fi 6 could come up – Ryzen Embedded v1000 is now followed by Ryzen 4000U.

Gigabyte Brix mit AMD Ryzen 4000 („Renoir“)
Gigabyte would like to offer the new PC systems with Wi-Fi 6 as well as 2.5 Gbit / s Ethernet and at the same time is switching from the Raven Ridge CPU family, which is now almost two years old, to Renoir. In addition, a total of four video outputs for high-resolution 4K material are to be offered.
In two sizes – “Slim” and “Tall” – the Brix models with Renoir should offer up to 8 cores and 16 threads. The official product page does not yet provide any further information, including pricing and availability.

Gigabyte announces official specifications
In the meantime, Gigabyte has updated the official product page of the Brix (S) with AMD Ryzen 4000 (“Renoir”) and offers the “Slim” and “Tall” models with various 7 nm APUs from the Ryzen 4000U series.
From the Ryzen 3 4300U with 4 cores and 4 threads up to the Ryzen 7 4800U with 8 cores and 16 threads, all conceivable applications of a mini PC are covered.
The manufacturer has summarized further information on the technical details in a model overview. Gigabyte has not yet named prices for the new Brix (S).
