The problem started suddenly. Epic Games gave Fortnite players the chance to save some money. This is done by making payments through your own platform instead of using the Apple system. For this reason, the game was removed from the App Store. Apple’s regulations, which Epic has agreed to, allow Apple to exclude games and developers that try to get around 30% of commissions through its own system. In court, Epic tried to portray Apple as a monopolist. The apple giant, on the other hand, spoke of a debt of gratitude on the part of Epic. In any case, the end result was what we all know. However, although Fortnite is no longer available on the App Store, it can run on the iPhone again thanks to Nvidia.
Great news! Fortnite will return to the iPhone and iPad!
Nvidia announced that GeForce NOW, the cloud gaming system, will bring a touch version of Fortnite to iOS via Safari. Nvidia also reveals that, although games in the GeForce NOW library work best with a gamepad, it is working with Epic Games to develop a touch version. It was in this way that more than 100 million players built, fought and danced to Victory Royale. Of course, this change will take some time.
Fortnite players can log into the Epic PC store and find Fortnite on the iOS version of GeForce NOW. While it’s not quite as easy as playing Fortnite when it was available on the App Store, at least anyone who wants to play it on iOS will do it again.
Of course, despite this great news that it will be possible to play Fornite through Safari, users prefer that the situation between Epic and Apple be resolved. It’s just that having this game on the App Store is undoubtedly much simpler.
Still, all alternatives are always welcome. It is that the users always win.
