Looks like LG loved the idea of rolling displays so much that the company decided to release a whole line of unusual devices.
Despite the fact that even foldable smartphones have not gained widespread popularity, companies such as LG and OPPO believe that it is necessary to go even further and actively develop devices with displays that stretch or expand from the body.
LG has already released the first TV with a roll-out display. We also know that the company has been developing a smartphone concept with the same technology for some time. And now we are getting information that the company is also going to break into the mobile computer market with its crazy idea.
In principle, this news is not surprising – LG has always tried to make unusual, at times, unnecessarily strange devices. Rumors circulated on the Web yesterday that the company had a patent for a laptop with an outgoing display. According to the images attached to the patent, a laptop can be transformed from a 13.3-inch “kid” into a 17-inch machine for serious work.
The patent also showed that the company had figured out how to fit a webcam into a new type of laptop – at least this confirms its presence on the case. We can also see that the touchpad can be attached to the keyboard. It seems that the manufacturer decided not to “attach” to the device by default, so as not to make it more bulky.
For now, this is all information. Considering the complexity of the design, there is a chance that this laptop will be released very soon.
