Nowadays there are apps for everything and anything. Many of them are for accessing online services, but there are also very interesting ideas. Have you ever thought of having an app to be able to communicate with your cat?
A former Amazon engineer created the MeowTalk app! Find out how it works.
If you have a cat you need to install the MeowTalk app
Javier Sánchez, a former engineer at Amazon, aims to end the great dilemma of many families with an app that allows them to translate a wide range of feline expressions. The engineer also revealed that he will soon launch an app for dogs.
The app is called MeowTalk and, according to the engineer himself in an interview, the basis of his knowledge came from his experience with Alexa, Amazon's virtual assistant. Javier Sánchez says that cats have a series of basic "expressions" like hunger, feeling pain or being happy, and that the app is able to notify the owner when this happens.
Obviously the algorithms present in the app are not 100% reliable. However, users can modify the "translations" according to their cats' reactions. For this, it is possible to record the cat's meow for the app to interpret. If it is not the expected result, the user can always associate that state with the true state of the cat.

At this time, the app is only available in English, but it is expected that in the near future it will be compatible with more languages. If you have the courage to experiment, tell us about your experiences and results.
