As a way of attracting more and more users, Microsoft Teams is offering users the possibility to make video calls for 24 hours without paying more.
This resource will be available on the web version of the platform and, certainly, it will be a great help especially for family members to feel closer in the Christmas season that begins.
Video call services remain a lifeline for many businesses and family contacts during the COVID-19 pandemic. But because of that, several different services have emerged. Thus, the user was able to choose the one that offered the best features for what he needed.
As we can imagine, the high demand ended up encouraging the services to try to be the best and with the best resources. Zoom, for example, was an interesting novelty and, currently, it is one of the most used services worldwide. But other platforms, even older ones, like Skype for example, have been playing cards in this race for the best.
In short, we witness an authentic competition between communication platforms and video calls. And in that sense, Microsoft has just made an interesting move.
Microsoft Teams allows 24-hour video calls on the web version
As a way of bringing better resources to users, and also responding to the competition, Microsoft Teams has continued to improve its service.
One of the latest innovations was the creation of the 'Together' mode, which allows up to 50 participants to be presented simultaneously, in an auditorium-shaped room, in order to increase interactivity and a sense of closeness.
But now the platform has announced a very interesting novelty! Teams now allows you to make 24-hour video calls with up to 300 participants over the web.
This feature will be very useful because we are already in the Christmas season and, thus, it will be another way of bringing proximity to family members who, due to the pandemic, cannot join.
According to Microsoft:
To help you stay in touch in the coming months, you will be able to organize meetings of up to 24 hours and up to 300 participants until further notice.
The user will thus be able to spend a whole day on video call with family and friends, trying to bring more comfort to everyone who is far away. And all of this for free.
To enjoy this service now, just access Teams (here) and log in with a Microsoft account. Then create a video call and share the link with family and friends. Your contacts can enter for free via the web, without having to have a Microsoft account.
As for the other services, we remind you that Zoom has a limit of 40 minutes free and Google Meet offers 60 minutes.
