The Toronto Police share a message on social media to warn video game fans against scams and scams that could occur if you decide to buy PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X / S through private retailers.
Using their official social media channels, the Toronto Metropolitan Police Forces issue a Public Safety Notice which confirms the “Receiving numerous reports of attempted robberies from people claiming to be selling gaming systems (presumably PS5 and Xbox Series X / S, ed)“.
Also based on the provisions of the notice issued by the Canadian City Police, “some robberies occurred with criminals who resorted to violence or used a weapon as a form of further threat”. The advice of the Toronto authorities, which are valid for all those who decide to buy PS5, Xbox Series X/S O Nintendo Switch from a private dealer, are therefore the ones to pay attention to choose a crowded place for the delivery of the console, communicating in time to a relative or a friend the place to go.
In the meantime, we remind you that new stocks of PS5 should be arriving in online stores, as well as Xbox Series X and S. In the case of Microsoft’s nextgen consoles, the Redmond company has specified that the problem of reduced stocks for the high demand for Xbox Series X / S should last a few more months and end in April.
