The ransomware does not know the crisis. According to a study commissioned by Crowdstrike, information professionals are increasingly concerned about ransomware attacks that can not only block the information system, but also empty their company’s coffers.
Of the 2,200 professionals surveyed in August and September 2020, 56% said their organization had suffered a ransomware attack in the past 12 months. And among them, 27% said they opted for the ransom payment. Which is no small feat, because on average it took $ 1.1 million to unlock its systems.
