In a recent interview, the historic producer of the The Legend of Zelda, Eiji Aonuma, did not rule out the arrival of new ones in the near future spin-off. Everything will obviously depend on whether there will be “right conditions“. Exactly as happened for the excellent Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, released these days for Nintendo Switch, a game that, most likely, will get a sequel.
The era of calamity, in fact, convinced both our Cristian Colli (have you read his review of Hyrule Warriors: The era of calamity?), But above all Aonuma. So much so that the producer does not rule out that a new chapter of this spin-off may soon arrive. “Making Hyrule Warriors a series of its own? I believe there is chance to see a new game, but for the moment we are not planning to turn it into a series, “said the producer of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Everything, though,”will depend on the desire of the fans“.
What happens will depend on the proposals received from the big N and the feedback from fans: “we at Nintendo always reward creativity and are always looking for innovative projects. First, however, there are conditions that must be met. By collaborating with external studios it is not possible to have perfect control over the timing of the release of the games, so we usually base our decisions on the potential of the individual games that are proposed to us“.
