While the great Western action adventures continue to focus on their endless open world, the Yakuza series proceeds undaunted in the opposite direction, preferring density to variety in the creation of its settings. Let’s go to the discovery of the places of Yakuza Like a Dragon, now available on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S.
In addition to Sotenbori and Kamurocho, which are located in Osaka and Tokyo respectively, Yakuza Like a Dragon allows its players to walk around Isezaki Ijincho, a generous portion of Yokohama. Although this is hands down the most extended setting of the series, it has not betrayed the attention to density and compactness typical of the previous chapters.
Sotenbori is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Japan, and is renowned for both nightlife and good food. Among the narrow alleys of Kamurocho are still noticeable the echoes of the Dragon of Dojima, who lived most of their adventures in this neighborhood. Isezaki Ijincho is profoundly different from other neighborhoods, presenting an unparalleled variety of environments, cultures and powerful organizations. Telling the atmosphere that permeates these places is not easy, but we tried it both in the deepening of the places of Yakuza Like a Dragon, and in the Special Video attached at the top of this news, which we highly recommend you to view.
