Lupin, the new series Netflix, contains a curious videogame easter egg, found in the fourth chapter now available on the streaming platform (along with all the others, as is tradition).
From minute 24:50 It is possible to see the protagonist Assane Diop and his son Raoul playing with two DualShocks firmly held (one black, one blue).
A nice gaming scene in between father and son, also performed pretty well in its simplicity – no lightnesses were committed like switched off controllers, for example.
The title the two are playing is though Horizon Zero Dawn, a game that notoriously has no multiplayer modes.

It is not clear whether the exclusive PlayStation signed by Guerrilla Games is being treated, in the fiction of the Netflix series, as a cooperative or competitive product.
One can only hear, in one passage of their game, the child saying to the father a “Shot to the head, you are poor” which does not clarify the matter.
How could Assane and Raoul be playing together, then, if the title they chose is actually an action RPG single-player set in a vast open world?
This shouldn’t surprise too much: writers and directors are used to it borrow video games “Distorted” for reasons of convenience, because maybe they need to stage a disengaged chat between several characters.
The choice often falls on single-player games simply because maybe the creators of that particular film or serial are passionate about a certain story or a certain character.

So much so that, dismantling this almost traditional modus operandi a bit, the accuracy with which Netflix always treated the medium in its House of Cards.
The protagonist played by Kevin Spacey in fact played long sessions of Call of Duty, strictly alone in his room against online enemies, e Monument Valley, an indie that at the time gained great popularity due to this cameo.
Anyway, this appearance of Horizon Zero Dawn could be nothing more than a preview of the future of the series, given the cooperative turn that a reliable rumor has recently advocated for Forbidden West, and an echo of his past.
As revealed only a short time ago, an early version of Zero Dawn it included a much larger map and, coincidentally, a co-op mode, which was then cut in the final release.
If you want to recover the Guerrilla Games action RPG, you can do it Horizon Zero Dawn yours for PS4 at a discounted price.
