The fact that under the Redmi brand will debut an “affordable” smartphone based on Snapdragon 888, it was reported in early December last year. Then it was said that he will be included in the Redmi K40 family. New information confirms this information.
The named series of devices is said to include the basic version of the Redmi K40 and the modification of the Redmi K40 Pro. The latter will receive a Snapdragon 888 chip, which, recall, combines eight cores with a clock speed of up to 2.84 GHz, an Adreno 660 graphics accelerator and a Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
As for the standard model Redmi K40, it is credited with using the not yet officially presented MediaTek processor with support for 5G cellular communications.
It is reported that the Redmi K40 smartphones will be officially presented on January 20. Actual sales are likely to start at a later date.
