After being presented in December in China, Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e are now official globally. Both Xiaomi partner smartwatches are presented globally during the first day of CES 2021.
Both maintain a design very similar to that of the already known GTS 2 and GTR 2. Both reach the global markets, cutting in few characteristics in relation to the original models.
It is important to note that the watches will not have support for Wi-Fi. This is the big difference for normal models, and that ends up bringing their price down to 129 €. They maintain attractive features, such as the possibility of measuring body temperature or support for the offline virtual assistant (which only works with commands in English).
In the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, body temperature is a characteristic that can boost sales of both watches. However, it should be noted that these are not medical equipment.
The Amazfit GTS 2e arrives with autonomy up to 14 days, while the GTR 2e can reach 24 days (in normal use). The GTS 2e has a more square design, and a 1.65 ”inch AMOLED screen. It allows measuring oxygen in the blood, having the screen always on, and making measurements and sleep, stress and up to 90 sports activities.
The GTR 2e features a more classic circular appearance, a 1.39 ”inch AMOLED screen and stainless steel body. It also has the PAI system, which allows you to offer a score for a greater perception of your physical condition.
As mentioned above, both watches will reach the global market for € 129. The date of arrival on the Portuguese market is not yet known.
