A new mode for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is coming: the game’s official website has been updated for about 30 minutes (and probably by mistake) reporting the arrival of “a new large-scale zombies experiences“. This zombies-open world mode should be called ‘Outbreak’ and, after the recent events on Warzone that left no room for doubt about the arrival of the undead, it could also reach the battle royale. The wording, as you can see in the tweet below, also reported the presence of a trailer.
According to leaker Okami’s words, it will be a cross event between Cold War and Warzone. In addition, it is also rumored that Activision is preparing to welcome Outbreak with a dedicated event. Also according to the leaker, the new mode will be something big for the franchise, much bigger than people can imagine. To find out more, we just have to wait for new communications from the publisher Activision; until then we invite you to take the above described with a grain of salt.
Meanwhile, here is the description of the classic Cold War zombies mode: “Newbies and veterans alike will face a journey as terrifying as it is unforgettable that further expands the story of this famous part of the Call of Duty series. Co-op mode includes new ways to rack up progress, iconic specialties and an arsenal of Cold War weapons to help survivors dominate legions of the undead“.
Official Call of Duty website accidentally confirms the new Outbreak mode.
