, Jakarta – Garena has returned the Bermuda Remastered map in Free Fire as a patch version of the popular Bermuda. The map was introduced as an event in the Free Fire OB24 update in January 2021 and is set to run from January 1 to 10. However, after receiving positive feedback from the players, Garena decided to extend the availability of the new Bermuda 2.0 map for seven days.
Now, Garena has decided to temporarily return Bermuda Remastered to Free Fire, from 27 February to 7 March. However, these maps are only available in Team Deathmatch, Clash Squad, and Gun King.
The only difference between the two maps is the addition of four new locations which include:
- Academy
- Hydrapower
- Fisherman Creek
- Yagami Garden
This updated Bermuda map also displays changes to existing locations. However, the map has not received any changes in terms of the theme, as it was released last January. Garena himself admits that he will still develop the Bermuda Remastered map before replacing the classic Bermuda map.
The developer is open to user feedback, while acknowledging the current map still needs to be optimized for a better battle area.
“We will temporarily remove this map from matchmaking after this extension, so we can adjust and optimize all battle areas based on all the feedback we get. But don’t worry, Bermuda Remastered is coming back soon! ” wrote Garena.
This optimization also explains the reason behind the delay in launching the map, and is only temporarily released in-game before being permanently released. Keep in mind, this is the second time Garena has released a temporary map in Free Fire for testing. If later it is optimal, there are no bugs and glitches in the game, it is possible that players can play Bermuda 2.0 permanently on Free Fire.
