Two months after the announcement of the amazing next-gen face software MetaHuman Creator, Epic Games officially launches the Early Access phase of its middleware for Unreal Engine 4 and 5 which allows developers to create characters with incredibly realistic features and expressions.
At the end of the tests conducted in recent weeks with a small circle of content creators and designers, MetaHuman thus enters its phase in Early Access to accommodate all digital artists and programmers who wish to leverage this software to automate the development of virtual characters with photorealistic faces.
The MetaHuman Creator tool integrates extremely intuitive tools and various parameters that can be configured by the developers to make changes in real time to the features of digital characters to be included in video games, films, TV series and multimedia projects of various types. Since its Early Access phase, MetaHuman promises to provide such a broad set of parameters to include editors for hairstyles, skin tones, lips, beards and facial expressions.
For the occasion, Epic Games has packaged an explanatory movie and opened a new section within its developer portal, within which you can find information and tutorial to follow to make the most of this new tool that can be used both on the current one Unreal Engine 4 which, of course, on the future Unreal Engine 5 coming in 2021.
