With a giant company standing behind it, vulnerable to lawsuits and the like, it seems rational to expect that the available digital game sales platforms usually have their own quality control. This is intended to ensure that these games do not violate the rules that have been set. But sometimes you come across games that, for some unknown reason, have managed to get past the rules. One of them is happening with the current Microsoft Store.
As we know, one of the most popular games in 2020 yesterday – Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. But suddenly, without any explanation, the same title is available on Microsoft’s store page on PC – Microsoft Store. Using the same name, as well as screenshots and familiar title covers, it is sold for just USD 2.99. Investigate, those who downloaded this game said that it carries the gameplay of animals trying to cross the busy streets of Frogger style.
Microsoft itself has yet to take any action to shut down the store page, which reportedly has been online since the end of March 2021 yesterday. So for those of you who frequently shop at the Microsoft Store, don’t be fooled by this title!
