On March 1, 2021, a leaked video provided Internet users with information about the collaboration between From Software and novelist George RR Martin. A year and bananas, we are hardly advanced any more. We can even fear that we will have to wait so much longer, if not longer.

From Software’s (and also Spike Chunsoft’s) parent company, Kadokawa Corporation has published its financial report for the fiscal year 2020-2021 recently. The section dedicated to video games reports numerous investments but also and above all delays in the development of current projects. A certain virus and the shift to work obviously had a big impact.
Taking the entire 19th page of the Powerpoint, where it is recalled the wait around this project which capitalizes on the success of Souls and the name of the author of the Trne de FerElden Ring does not see the future precisely seen by the group for the fiscal year which has just begun. From Software’s most ambitious project may not be released until March 2022.
Of all the hype, Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad bounced off these statements:
Kadokawa’s report was surprisingly open about this.
They expect lower revenue for the year ending March 31, 2022 and they cite delayed releases as a factor
It indicates Elden Ring may release after March 2022. Or it’s just not in their forecast due to release timing uncertainty https://t.co/brdfmbLD3P

Kadokawa was surprisingly talkative about this. They expect revenue for the year ending March 31, 2022 and they cite deferrals as a factor. This indicates that Elden Ring could be released after March 2022. Or that it is not part of the forecast due to the uncertainty at the time of the publication of the results.
Presented at E3 2019, Elden Ring has never officially shown anything since. The dark fantasy action-RPG designed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin is developed in the deepest of secrets. Which can constitute, with all the pitfalls of a thwarted development, a good reason not to speak about it again. The probability that Bandai Namco reserves the right to bring him back in a surprising way, just to wake everyone up a bit, is not excluded. Who knows, maybe E3 2021 will have a demonstration in store for us?
6 seconds elsewhere, just as long as I stay
In the meantime, we’ll have to eat the little bits of meat that have stuck to the bone. And be content with rumors and potential leaks. As with a new reddit video that is said to originate from 4Chan. It is 6 seconds of a probable internal video of Elden Ring, of very poor quality, in the vein of the video leaked over a year ago.
Roll on the certainties. Some well-informed journalists like Jason Schreier suggested, last March, that revelations would arrive quickly. May the prophecy come true for all the Joniwans of the world.
