A new artwork that Cory Barlog, director of God of War Ragnarok, he spread on Twitter after he decided to use it as header image of his profile, sparked fans of the series looking for clues.
The sequel to God of War it has in fact remained in mystery after the teaser trailer released last year and fans are looking for any possible suggestions that might anticipate something about the next chapter of the franchise.
In recent days, many players had discovered some details in the logo, revealing what it would look like in some way connected also to the short video released to announce it.
At the moment the director did not want to express himself on a Ragnarok launch window, revealing that will come out only when it is actually ready.
However, as also reported by Game Rant, it seems that the last image shared today may have hidden several clues, which Reddit users are trying to crack to the best of their ability.
In the image it is possible to observe many characters of the series seated at one table set, among which obviously Kratos and his son Atreus cannot be missing.
One of the most particular aspects is certainly represented by goblets, in which gods are visible runic symbols painted on each of them: unfortunately the image is not very clear and therefore the players are still trying to understand what the message hidden by Cory Barlog is.
However, there are other small details that have been identified by other fans: for example, in the window in the background the silhouette of a mysterious figure is visible, which it is hypothesized could be Thor.
It also seems to be visible in the background Hildisvíni, the magical boar used by Freya in mythology as a mount.
Another user managed to discover further runic symbols hidden near the fireplace, which say the words “Ragnarok is coming“, Which translated means”Ragnarok is coming».
These same words had already been included as a teaser in a free PS4 theme of God of War made available for the anniversary in 2019: this image could therefore be more important than you might have believed after the first glance.
We just have to wait if the community will be able to find other clues hidden in the image: in the meantime we will naturally keep you updated with all the announcements related to Ragnarok.
On April 20, God of War turned 3 years old and Sony invited to replay the adventure of Kratos and Atreus: many fans, however, began to wonder if new news on the sequel was actually coming.
A leak would also have revealed what the next Santa Monica project will be after God of War Ragnarok: it should be a new fantasy-themed IP.
