Apple has made official the debut date of the “Mr. Corman ”on Apple TV +.
Mr. Corman is a 10-episode comedy series that will be available from August 6, 2021 on Apple TV +. The series will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who will also direct all the episodes.
Mr. Corman follows the days and nights of Josh Corman, played by Gordon-Levitt, an artist at heart but not by profession. A career in music failed and he now teaches in fifth grade at a public school in the San Fernando Valley.
His ex-girlfriend Megan has moved, and her high school friend Victor has also left. Corman knows he has a lot to be grateful for, but he still finds himself struggling with anxiety, loneliness and the suspicion that he “sucks” as a person.
Darkly funny, strangely beautiful, and deeply passionate, this comedy-drama speaks to our contemporary generation of thirty-somethings – rich in good intentions, poor in student loans, and eager to become real adults before they die.
Starring Gordon-Levitt will be Juno Temple (Ted Lasso), Jamie Chung (Big Hero 6), Shannon Woodward (Westworld), Alexander Jo, Arturo Castro (Narcos), Hector Hernandez, Debra Winger (Terms of Endearment) and Bobby Hall.
The first three episodes will be launched on August 6, while the others will be released weekly every Friday.
