John Justice, the vice president and Head of Product of Stadia, ha left his assignments, which he had taken on at the beginning of 2019. For now he has not confirmed, but it was Google itself that did it to 9to5Google: “We can confirm that John is no longer at Google. We wish him the best for the future.“
Justice’s role was to oversee the experience of Stadia users, and in the past he has been the one to announce some of the new features on the platform. In December, however, everything changed and Justice declared that Google he would no longer speak of features that would come in the future, to avoid excesses of expectations.
In fact, in recent months the news of Stadia have often been implemented quietly, such as the search bar or the filters of the library of available games.
In short, Stadia remains in development, despite the closure of the first party studios and the loss of some of its most important executives. In the past few months, we have seen the farewell of Jade Raymond, who from what she has leaked has not been very happy with Google’s behavior and how it has managed the transition towards transformation into pure service. Let’s hope she goes better with Haven, her new studio.
