Samsung may be the only supplier of the rigid / flexible printed circuit boards (RFPCBs) Apple will use on the iPhone 13 Pro and 120Hz ProMotion displays
Samsung Electro-Mechanics, a subsidiary of the parent company, has already provided RFPCBs to Apple for the iPhone 12 e will keep its role also for the iPhone 13. This component is used to connect the OLED display panel to the main board of the device itself.
Today’s report adds that the component will be used to connect low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LPTO) thin-film transistor (TFT) OLED panels. This technology is required to make it work il display a 120Hz and ProMotion, the variable update feature Apple already uses with the iPad Pro.
