Aroged, Purworejo – Speaking of narrative games, we should be proud of a local game called Coffee Talk with its success in penetrating the international market. The success of this game is proven by being the only game from Southeast Asia that has been nominated for the DICE Awards.
However, the success of this game did not mean that the director Mohammad Fahmi “Famitsu”, who previously also developed the What Comes After game, just stopped. Not long ago, Famitsu announced a new game titled ‘Project Heartbreak’.
Judging from the trailer, the Project Heartbreak game seems to be focused on a musical theme by showing a guitarist. If we look at the tags from the Steam page, this game is like a point and click combination from What Comes After and the dating sim from the Coffee Talk game.
The illustrations for this game were done by Soyatu and Pinga Penguin. Interestingly, because the main theme is music, the soundtrack is from an indie rock band from Jakarta, L’Alphalpha.
For now, Famitsu cannot provide further details about the Project Heartbreak game, but according to him, gamers must be ready to taste the bitter sweetness that can make heartbreak just like the song lyrics above which are also the description of this game.
By cooperating with publisher Fellow Traveler, the Project Heartbreak game is planned to be released in 2022 although there is no definite date yet. This game is already available as a wishlist on Steam.
