Game news Rainbow Six Siege: Heading to the Apocalypse with a new event
Used to temporary events, Rainbow Six Siege, the tactical FPS based on the Tom Clancy universe, is back with a brand new temporary game mode.
Get out the guns! As part of Season 1 of Year 6, the Agents of Rainbow Six, and more particularly, Fuze, Gridlock, Maverick, Nomad, Twitch, Maestro, Melusi, Rook, Smoke or even Valkyrie, are all set to do facing the Apocalypse. From today, until May 18, 2021, players will be able, during a new event, to cross a post-apocalyptic version of the Outback map to participate in clashes between two rival clans, the Keepers and the Warbands. These two clans have only one goal in mind: to find and especially recover the last plant on planet Earth.
The new game mode, Canister, will allow players to fight as members of the Keepers or Warband clans in order to find the last remaining plant on Earth. Defenders will be able to move the box containing the plant around the map, while attackers will be able to activate scanners scattered around the map to detect if a defender is in a specific room. The main objective for the attackers will be to defuse the tank carrying the plant. On the defenders side, the agents will have to protect the box until the time is up to win. Finally, to achieve victory, the players will have to eradicate the entire opposing team.
Obviously, to accompany the temporary Apocalypse event of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft decides to introduce a collection of 35 customization elements for the aforementioned characters including new heads, weapon skins and especially personalized uniforms. Note that these items are obviously available for purchase in the game store. Character bundles are therefore sold at 1680 R6 credits (Premium currency), and Apocalypse Packs at 300 R6 credits or 12,500 fame points. (currency that can be unlocked by playing).
