The joint venture between the FAW Chinese Group e l ‘americana Silk EV he chose Reggio Emilia and, specifically, the hamlet of Gavassa as a site in the Italian Motor Valley to build its new factory. Plug-in hybrid and electric premium supercars will be built here for an investment of one billion euros.

Within an area that extends for about 320 thousand square meters, it will be built plant and the Silk-FAW Design, research, development & innovation Center. This is excellent news given the certainly not happy moment on the economic front following the crisis generated by the pandemic. If there are no hiccups, activities should start in 2023.
