According to a consecrated maxim, it seems that the misfortune of some makes the happiness of others. As mankind gradually emerges from hibernation of constraint and strength, those who have managed to enjoy a year unlike any other look to the future with great confidence.

As long as you took a little interest in video game news, you couldn’t escape it: since the release of a certain Animal Crossing: New Horizons last spring, which is a very good time to launch a simulation of life in the great outdoors, Nintendo walks on water.
30 million amiibo
The game which regularly squats the top of weekly sales here or elsewhere will have done the business of the manufacturer over the last fiscal year, and that which is announced could a priori follow the same upward trajectory. In any case, this is what we can already conclude from the recent article on the site Nikkei Asia, which affirms that Nintendo intends to produce 30 million additional Switch by March 31, 2022. Cumulated with some 80 million machines already poured, this new production could thus reach the record figure of 110 machines distributed, more than the Wii and its 102 million, the current best score of the Japanese for a home console.
Despite CEO Shuntaro Furukawa’s suggestion of a potential shortage, Nikkei journalists’ sources say Nintendo has requested an acceleration of production, a small feat as the console enters its fifth year of commercial operation. Analyst Hideki Yasuda does not hesitate to play his role as a breaker of open doors by explaining that the transportability of the Switch lends itself particularly well to this period of confinement that humanity goes through. As we say at home: “Thank you V12”.
The real question will be about the eventuality of a Switch Pro / 4K / Super (cross out the unnecessary mention, but watch out for your smartphone screen), which all industry preachers think they have guessed is imminent. Others do not hesitate to say that in view of these ambitious figures, the arrival of a certain Breath of the Wild 2 by next March 31 is beyond doubt …
