We had already talked to you about the project in the past months HD Reworked Project NextGen, a very promising mod that seems to be able to give new luster to the already wonderful graphic and aesthetic sector of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
If on the previous occasion we were able to take a look at a more sparkling Novigrad than ever, in this case the modder Halk Hogan decided to focus improvements made to various regions and environments that can be explored within the CD Projekt RED action-RPG. As you can see for yourself by taking a look at the demonstration video that we have brought you back to the top of the news, it seems that the work is coming up well, and that the modder is managing to significantly improve the textures of the most disparate surfaces in the title.
What catches the eye is that the modder is trying to keep the general aesthetic vision steady conceived by CD Projekt, while improving the technical quality of the assets. In addition to this, the author is working on increasing the Level of Detail of some objects, creating customized materials and shaders for the reworked textures, and obtaining some polygon meshes in step with 2020 standards.
The modder finally specified that he was logged in in direct contact with CD Projekt in order to start a collaboration. It just looks like that the mod will be included in the next-gen update official that the Polish software house intends to publish on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S by the end of 2021, but an official confirmation is awaited regarding this anticipation.
