Stadia loses its Head of Product.
Since it was announced, Google Stadia still can’t show its fangs for Cloud Gaming. Connection and service problems that are still limited in certain countries are one of the reasons why this new product from Google is still not a capable challenger in the video game industry.
Some of their plans to release exclusive games were immediately shut down. Developers were not given the opportunity at all to show their work for Google’s cloud gaming.
The downturn is increasingly visible after now the Head of Product of Google Stadia has decided to leave the company.
According to reports The Information, VP and Head of Product Stadia, John Justice has left Google. This news is strengthened by the confirmation of one of Google’s representatives on 9to5Google who admits it.
Justice’s departure followed the news after all the internal team for the exclusive Stadia game developer was closed. They will change their business targets by working with other companies to add video games to their Cloud Gaming services.
Previously, several Stadia developers in Montreal and Los Angeles were closed. The closure was reinforced by the departure of Jade Raymond, the veteran producer of the series Assassin’s Creed and EA’s Motive Studio of his company. The team previously known as Typhoon Studios, the developer is behind Journey to the Savage Planet also left Google.
