The new Kia EV6 is also very popular with Europeans and not just Koreans (21,000 pre-orders in the first 24 hours). In fact, the manufacturer makes it known that since launch it has already received in the Old Continent, 33,000 pre-orders (300% of Kia’s European plan for 2021) that have already turned into 7,300 real orders. A really positive result that rewards the work done by the car manufacturer on this model that has all the credentials to do very well even in the long term.
Kia, however, has hinted that the EV6’s expected annual European production is just 10-11,000 cars. This means that it may take a long time to process all orders that will arrive. Therefore, those interested who have not yet booked the EV6 risk having it delivered only in 2022 if they do not hurry. In Italy, please note, the EV6, EV6 GT-Line and EV6 GT versions with a 77.4 kWh battery pack can be ordered.
The EV6 is offered in two versions. With single 229 HP (168 kW) electric motor, 77.4 kWh battery and range up to 510 km and with double 325 HP (239 kW) electric motor, 77.4 kWh battery and range up to 490 km. The GT Line, on the other hand, is offered only with the double electric motor. The GT is the high performance version of the electric crossover. We find a 585 hp (430 kW) powertrain that allows the car to reach 260 km / h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.
The EV6 and EV6 GT Line will be available from September, while the GT from the end of 2022. Prices, for the Italian market, start at 49,500 euros. Kia points out that all models of the EV6, with the exception of the GT, are compatible with the Ecobonus. Whoever buys the car will receive a one-year subscription to the IONITY charging network from which the vehicle can be recharged at 0.29 euros per kWh instead of 0.79 euros.
All EV6s have a 7-year unlimited km warranty, 7-year prepaid routine maintenance and 7-year traffic for UVO Connect telematics services.
