Google accidentally unveiled the new Pixel Buds earphones by posting a message and an image on Twitter. The content was removed shortly after, but that was enough to deliver it to the Net which, as we know, always has a good memory.
The message published by the official Android account confirms the name of the next true wireless earphones, Pixel Buds A-Series, underlines two characteristics – sound quality and support for fast pairing to the smartphone using Fast Pair (recently updated function) – and finally shows the earphones, in white color, inserted in the charging case. Whether it is the new model can be inferred both from the pairing screen that bears the name Pixel Buds A-Series, and from the charging LED located on the top of the charging case (in the Pixel Buds 2 it is at the bottom) – this detail had already emerged in the first alleged leaked image of the earphones.
And it’s not the only confirmation on the new earphones that has recently emerged, Google Germany also leaked the name earphones by inserting the reference in the search results relating to the products included in the official store.
Unfortunately, the amount of information on the technical characteristics of the new earphones is not as extensive as the official confirmations (more or less involuntary). The fact that Google has marked them as an “A” model suggests that it will be one cheaper variant compared to the Pixel Buds 2 already on the market in – as well as the Pixel A smartphones are models with a more affordable price than the other Pixels. However, it is not yet clear in what they will differ from the Pixel Buds 2 and what will be the measures introduced to offer that sound quality to which the official message refers. The questions will probably be answered at the next edition of Google I / O which will be held from 18 to 20 May.
