Why did they delay it?
With the minimal supply of GPUs on the market, NVIDIA, which is short on stock of its graphics cards, has to think more carefully about re-stocking its products. One of the most crucial and most sought after is the RTX 3000 series which is relatively new on the market.
The first batch of the new GPU series has indeed been released but is immediately scarce due to mining. Even so, their plan to release a new series, namely the 3080 Ti at the end of May, will still continue.
Unfortunately, it looks like they will have to put it off a little longer.
Launch Videocardz and Overclocking, NVIDIA announced that the RTX 3080 Ti, which was previously slated for release on May 24, 2021, has been postponed for up to a week. This means they will release it on May 31, 2021.
Not only the 3080 Ti series, NVIDIA also plans to announce the 3070 Ti. Videocardz also explained that the 3080 Ti card review embargo will be released on June 2, while the 3070 Ti will be released on June 9.
The RTX 3080 Ti is planned to have 12GB of GDDR6X memory and 10240 CUDA cores. On the other hand, the RTX 3070 Ti will offer 6144 CUDA cores and 8GB GDDR6X memory.
