It’s been several years now that Xiaomi has taken a break from the world of tablets, but more and more information leads us to believe that the Chinese giant is setting up a return strategy. Apple and Samsung, to date, share most of the revenues of this sector in tremendous growth, but some innovations discovered by colleagues of XDA describe the outlines of at least three new Xiaomi branded tablets.
At least three new Xiaomi tablets on the way
In fact, by thoroughly studying portions of the code of some MIUI 12.5 system applications, the reference to devices was discovered “nabu“, “enuma” e “elish“. Furthermore, these codenames are closely related to a method called “isPad”, which leads us to believe that some apps can use it to offer some exclusive features for tablets. Moreover, an alpha version of the MIUI Home application contains some screens designed to show the navigation gestures of a UI clearly indicated to tablets.
“Enuma” seems to enjoy support for mobile connectivity (4G), while the “Elish” and “Nabu” models should only mount the Wi-Fi module. Further information published by other people informed of the facts, indicate that all three tablets should mount IPS LCD displays with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, while as regards the processors we are talking about two different families of Qualcomm SoCs.
“Enuma” and “Elish”, according to some, should mount one of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 865+ or Snapdragon 870 processors. The third model, “Nabu”, could integrate the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, Snapdragon 855+ or Snapdragon 860 SoC The brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 would therefore be cut off from Xiaomi’s return strategy, but obviously there is nothing definitive yet.
