Samusng’s Unpacked event on Wednesday served for the brand to reveal what it has been doing in the foldable smartphone segment. But as expected, it also presented its new Bluetooth headset.
Galaxy Buds 2 arrive to be the direct successors of Galaxy Buds+, being one step below Galaxy Buds Pro. However, they present themselves with similar design and these and premium features such as noise cancellation.
“Designed for a snug fit made to be worn all day and to deliver superior sound quality so you can dive in anytime and anywhere,” that’s how Samsung defines them.
You can expect seven and a half hours of autonomy with noise canceling off, or five hours with it on. With the box, you can aim a total of 20 hours of autonomy (noise canceling on) or 29 hours (noise canceling off). It charges either via the USB-C port or wirelessly on any Qi charger.
Thanks to IPX7 certification they are water resistant. You can expect Scalable, AAC and SBC codecs. They are the perfect companion for your smartphone, tablet, or Galaxy smartwatch or for any other on the market. They feature two-way dynamic speakers for “sharp, clear treble notes and deep bass”.
Their active noise cancellation promises to reduce external background noise by up to 98%, but that’s something we’ll only be able to test on the spot. With three adjustable ambient sound levels, you can easily hear your surroundings with one touch.
Thanks to a new solution based on machine learning that filters out a variety of distracting background noises, your voice will be even clearer on calls. They come with the “lightest and smallest” headphones from Samsung.
Thanks to the “Earbud fit test” available on the Galaxy Wearable app, you can make the headphones fit perfectly in your ear. These will be available in four colors: graphite, white, olive and lavender.
Galaxy Buds 2 will go on sale in Portugal for €149.99 from 27 August.
