New York. The ‘One World Trade Center’, the tallest building built in the US at the site of the 9/11 attacks, and two other famous buildings in New York will be lit up in the colors of the tricolor on India’s 75th Independence Day on August 15. The South Asian Engagement Foundation (SAEF) said it is working with the Durst Organization to light up the 408-foot-high and 758-tonne summit of One World Trade Center and its courtyard in saffron, white and green colors on August 15 . The organization said, “This initiative is to celebrate India’s entry into the 75th year of independence of the world’s largest democracy.” Will shine in colours.

On August 15, as soon as the sun sets, the colorful lights will start and it will continue till 2 o’clock in the night. Apart from this, three colors of the tricolor will also be seen in the courtyard of the World Trade Center. Traditionally, the Empire State Building in New York is illuminated with these three colors every year on India’s Independence Day. Mark Domino of Durst Organization said in a statement that the company is proud to partner with SAEF to celebrate India’s 75th Independence Day. SAEF Trustee Rahul Walia described the event as historic and said it was an expression of love between the US and India.
