The Payoneer payment platform conducted a survey in five major cities in Ukraine and shared data on where Ukrainians earn the most in international markets. The highest average income from e-commerce in the capital’s online sellers – $ 4,920 per month. Kharkiv is a leader in IT and online education, Lviv is in the creative spheres, and Odessa is a leader in tourist housing rental, freelance and streaming.
Thanks to modern technologies, Ukrainians can easily join the global digital economy and earn money in international markets directly from their homes.
“So far, in most areas where Ukrainians work in foreign markets, large cities dominate. For example, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, Dnipro and Odesa account for three quarters of the total enrollment of tourist housing landlords. At the same time, out of all enrollments for creators on social networks, only 30% are concentrated in these five big cities.
That is, residents of regions are already more actively involved in some areas. If this trend continues, not only Ukrainians who earn on international platforms and work with foreign clients directly from their homes will benefit, but also Ukraine’s economy in general, ”said Igor Kovalev, Payoneer’s general manager in Ukraine and Belarus.
Kyiv holds the lead in the number of Ukrainians working in foreign markets, although in terms of average income, Kyivites are leaders only in the field of online commerce.
