BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites brings back theaction game in 2D originally released in 2011 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, transporting it to new consoles in one new version with updated high-resolution graphics and various other technical features, with also a new high-profile dubbing.
BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites remains the same 2D action game with platforming elements that we saw at the time, developed by WayForward and published by Ziggurat Interactive, but in this case with updated graphics with support for 4K, improved character sprites and various other additional features.
Among the features included in Fresh Bites we also find a new dubbing entirely spoken, which was not present in the original: this is an initiative of considerable depth, considering that the voice actors of the original BloodRayne have been called as Laura Bailey and Troy Baker in the roles of Rayne and Kagan, as well as Patrick Seitz and Todd Haberkorn.
The game brings with it even more characteristics such as PS5’s DualSense controller haptic feedback support and other technical tweaks to get the game running smoothly on new platforms. Limited Run Games will also release a physical edition on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch platforms.
To learn more about the original version, we refer you to the old BloodRayne Betrayal review from 2011, although obviously it probably does not reflect the quality of the new version.
