The authors of Absolver sign SIFU, a fighting game that promises to make all fans of the genre happy thanks to the strong references to the noble art of Kung Fu. We saw it in action in preview, here are our impressions of the game.
The latest work of the French team of sloclap narrates the deeds accomplished by a young warrior who decides to go on the trail of the criminal organization he has killed all members of his family.
Our intrepid alter-ego is willing to do anything to ripen his revenge and, in making his way through the enemies with blows and spinning kicks, he is aware of the extreme sacrifice that awaits him. The narrative stratagem devised by the transalpine developers to tell the story of the protagonist of SIFU is inspired by this idea of ”ritual sacrifice”: the wear and tear of lost battles pushes the hero to aging progressively until the final game over.
In function of the latest postponement of SIFU, the “martial” fighting game of the authors of Absolver is expected to be released for the February 22 on PC (Epic Store exclusive), PS4 and PlayStation 5, with pre-orders already active at an indicative price of 39.99 euros for the Standard version or 49.99 euros for the Deluxe Edition including soundtrack, digital artbook and access 48 hours early.
