The next iteration of the world’s most popular mobile operating system, the Android 12 to Google, will arrive on October 4th. This will be the stable (final) release, to be made globally available to any interested manufacturer and/or programmer.
After having released the fifth and final test version (beta) last week, the American giant will have chosen the 4th of October for the long-awaited release. Unlike previous years when we had the distribution in August, this year the news will arrive in early October.

The information is now advanced by the portal. XDA Developers which, claims to have confirmation of this distribution date. Indeed, this source points out the beginning of the distribution of the final version for Google Pixel smartphones for the aforementioned date – October 4th.
It will also be on that date that Google must make available the source code for the Android 12 operating system. This will allow developers to develop and adapt their applications, or create new ones, to take advantage of the news. That same day we should have the availability of this OS in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) Gerrit.
There will be significant design changes with the new Material You.
Furthermore, on that same day, if Google maintains the tradition, the new operating system should be made available for Google Pixel smartphones. It will finally be the stable release that users have been waiting for.
Likewise, for smartphone and mobile device manufacturers, it will be from there that they will start working on the respective adaptations of the system. More specifically, in their UI’s or user interfaces, such as Samsung’s One UI 4, OPPO’s ColorOS 12, OnePlus’ OxygenOS 12, Xiaomi’s MIUI 13, among others.
This year Google was late in distributing the new Android

So what caused such a delay in the usual Google update catalog? Although this has not been confirmed by the company, delays inherent to the COVID-19 pandemic are pointed out, as well as possible challenges in the Android 12 programming.
The delay may also have been caused by the need to verify the functionality and stability of all aspects of the operating system. This step is usually time-consuming and aims to ensure that bugs are found and fixed in a timely manner.
Additionally, Android 12 is one of the most significant updates from Google in recent years. Whether because of the amount of news that we’ve made known before, or because of the new design philosophy applied to the entire Android 12 operating system.
Material You is the design philosophy of Android 12
Visually it will be one of the biggest updates for Android smartphones with the new “Material You”. This new philosophy is guided by warmer, organic tones and interactive ways to present information on more appealing cards.
The visual transformation of the elements will have forced the Google team to work longer so that all the menus and aspects of the system were covered. However, we can see above the presentation video of this design language.
Finally, until the arrival of Android 12 distributed by manufacturers, there are several devices that can use beta versions. Interested users can find more information at official Beta version page.
Devices compatible with Android 12 trial versions include various ASUS devices, Google Pixel, OnePlus, OPPO, Realme, Sharp, TCL, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE, for example.
