Shilpa Shetty has been in the limelight ever since her husband Raj Kundra’s arrest in a pornography case on July 19. After the allegations against her husband, many questions were raised on her too, the investigating agencies also questioned the actress. Shilpa Shetty is among 43 witnesses whose statements have been recorded in the 1467-page supplementary chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police in the Raj Kundra pornography case. Shilpa Shetty has reportedly told Mumbai Police that she knew nothing about her husband Raj Kundra’s work as he was too busy with his work.

Shilpa Shetty distances herself from the case
In her statement to Mumbai Police, Shilpa said, “Kundra started Viaan Industries Limited in 2015 and I was one of the directors till 2020, shortly after I resigned due to personal reasons. I don’t know about Hotshots or Bollyfame apps. I was very busy with my work and hence I was not aware of what Kundra was doing.

Pornography case mastermind Raj Kundra
Mumbai Police has said that Hotshots and Bollyfem were some of the applications through which the accused uploaded obscene material online. The Crime Branch had filed a chargesheet against Kundra (46) and his associate Ryan Thorpe in a magistrate’s court. The case against Kundra, who was arrested in July, is related to allegedly making obscene films and publishing them through certain apps. Two others, Yash Thakur, a resident of Singapore and Pradeep Bakshi of London, have been shown as wanted accused in the chargesheet. Further, the alleged accused Raj Kundra was the mastermind of the porn racket, which lured aspiring female actors to work, and was blackmailed into shooting porn films.
11 people arrested in pornography case so far
So far, 11 people have been arrested by the Mumbai Police in this case, which was busted after a raid on a bungalow on Mud Island in February this year. The chargesheet includes the latest statements of witnesses, including those working in the Madh Dweep bungalow where the racket was first busted. Police had already filed charge sheets against nine persons in April this year and the rest were chargesheeted in the supplementary chargesheet filed on Wednesday.
Raj Kundra took the difficult path
Mumbai Police claimed that during the investigation into the pornography case, it was found that Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra set up Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, which created Hotshots through London-based Kenrin Pvt Ltd for uploading objectionable videos on social media. Bought the app. He had also alleged that Kundra earned over Rs 1.17 crore by uploading pornographic material online through Hotshots between August and December last year.
