China aims to connect the whole world with China through the Belt and Road project. For this, he is investing huge amounts in many countries. Under the CPEC project, China is giving massive loans to Pakistan for laying roads, railways and power pipelines. The project has been targeted to be completed by the year 2049. But the slow pace of the CPEC project in Pakistan has disappointed Chinese companies. On behalf of the Senate panel of Pakistan also expressed its concern about zero progress in the three years of this project. The chairman of the Senate Standing Committee is also dissatisfied with the slow pace of work on the Chinese CPEC. At the same time, there is constant displeasure from China regarding this. It has also been said in a complaint from the Chinese ambassador that the CPEC has been ruined and no work has been done on it in three years.

It is worth noting that earlier also Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had discussed about the CPEC project in a phone conversation with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Wang had stressed the need to speed up CPEC projects to revive Pakistan’s economy. The CPEC passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. For this reason, India has been opposing this project from the very beginning.
