Even though Deltarune: Chapter 2 is released on its own, series creator Toby Fox has said that his goal is for Chapters 3, 4, and 5 to appear at the same time.
Toby Fox said that while he originally planned to release new chapters only after they were all finished, he realized that
… that the creators and fans alike will have a hard time without an early release.
Fox also shared that Chapters 3, 4, and 5 will be when he “asks people to buy the game” at a price currently unknown but higher than Undertale, which currently costs $ 14.99.
Fox released Deltarune Chapter 1 and 2 for free and asked players (who can afford it!) To buy another indie game to support smaller developers. Additionally, those looking to support Toby Fox can purchase the soundtracks for Undertale and both Deltarune chapters on Bandcamp.
Just one request – remember, these games are usually not free. If you can afford it, spend the money you saved from getting this game for free to support other indie developers. If you really want to give me money, buy the soundtrack from Bandcamp. Thanks.
The release of Deltarune: Chapter 2 was unexpected, as it was announced during Undertale’s 6th anniversary celebration just a few days ago. According to Fox, Deltarune was much more difficult to develop than Undertale, due to the complexity of the new systems, storylines, and graphics.
