Communist Party and observers allege election violations

Apple-Google removed Navalny’s app from Play Stores
An app built by aides of jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny went missing from the Apple and Google Play stores on Friday ahead of Russia’s parliamentary elections. Navalny designed an app called ‘Smart Voting’ to promote candidates who are likely to defeat candidates backed by the Kremlin. Russian authorities are discouraging the use of this app.
