Last night the long silence about was finally broken Bayonetta 3, a title that was shown in the final stages of the latest Nintendo Direct with a short movie also containing some gameplay sequences. In this regard, the comments of a former developer of PlatinumGames brought out some interesting details about the project.
JP Kellams, who previously worked in the Japanese team’s studios and now serves as a senior producer at Harmonix, in fact, he carefully observed the trailer for Bayonetta 3 and then commented on it on his official Twitter account.
Here are some of the developer’s posts:
“Yes, the ability to control the summoned creature feels very similar to a mechanic we devised for Scalebound to control Thuban. Now I have to watch the trailer again, I’m thrilled.”
“Oh! There’s one more thing I forgot to mention: Yusuke Miyata was the lead designer of Scalebound and he’s a talented developer. I’m looking forward to playing Bayonetta 3 as he’s the one who’s in the role of game director. “
It would therefore appear that although the Scalebound project has been shelved, the development team has decided to recycle some ideas and to include them in the third adventure starring the witch of Umbra.
