Preparations for the The Last of Us Day, annual anniversary that celebrates the Naughty Dog series: the date of September 26 it was not chosen by chance, since it coincides with the beginning of the Cordyceps pandemic that has brought the fictional world imagined by the dogs to its knees.
Ahead of this year’s event, the PlayStation Gear Store has been enriched with numerous new merchandising items, including clothing (such as Abby’s first official t-shirt), household items and well two custom Taylor guitars, complete with themed picks and buckles. In addition to the new items, Sony is also offering a 20% discount on all The Last of Us products that have been sold on the PlayStation Gear Store in the past.
All very nice, but apparently there is more, as anticipated by Joshua Bradley, Designer of Communications for Naughty Dog. The communications manager clearly warned that at 6:00 pm on September 26th – in pieno The Last of Us Day – some completely new content related to the series will be revealed.
The imagination of the fans, of course, has already begun to fly. What do cagnacci have in store for us? It’s really hard to predict this in the absence of clearer clues (we just know that this content will have nothing to do with merchandise), but the community is hoping for the announcement of the multiplayer component of The Last of Us, which judging by the studio’s recent moves seems to have turned into a stand-alone game.
