Capcom has announced the release date for the VR version of Resident Evil 4 – the cult action-horror game, completely redesigned for VR, will be released on October 21, exclusively on Oculus Quest 2.
The original Resident Evil 4 was released back in 2005, and its VR remake was announced at Capcom’s April presentation. Oculus Studios and Armature Studio collaborated with Capcom to design the port – with a first-person view and the ability to physically interact with objects.
The VR version of Resident Evil 4 is based on Unreal Engine 4. The developers have retained the key features of the original and the animation, but tightened up the game’s graphics and adapted its controls for the Oculus Touch controllers. If desired, it will be possible to pass it in a sitting position, and move around using teleportation.
