Microsoft optimized over 100 titles on Xbox Series X and S for Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision stands for a changed gaming experience in several ways. Many details in the audio and picture, such as hue and contrast, are enhanced so that more details can be seen. In this video you can get a first impression of the technology compared to standard HDR.
The TV’s Dolby Vision function must be activated for this. If your TV does, the Xbox console will automatically detect it. It runs at up to 120 fps and is compatible with other graphics enhancements such as ray tracing, VRR and ALLM and is even recommended by Microsoft. However, there are also televisions that are not optimized for Dolby Vision. Latency problems can certainly arise here.
