The fire fighting game Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue will be released on December 14th for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Thunderful Publishing and Dejima announce that the indie fire fighting game Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue will be released on December 14, 2021 for PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Prior to release, players can experience firsthand what it feels like, Firegirl’s trusty ax, and the powerful hose during the Steam Next Fest event, October 1-7, when a playable Firegirl demo will be available to swing.
In Firegirl: Hack ‘n Splash Rescue you take on the role of a firefighter who breathes life into a rundown local fire station. You will be called to procedurally generated fires across the city and must try to rescue all civilians (and cats!) Caught in the fires within a 3-minute time limit. You can gain additional time by extinguishing nasty pyro-monsters as you make your way through obstacles and use your hose as an improvised jetpack to amplify your jump and reach otherwise inaccessible places.
With a mix of retro-inspired pixel art and 3D graphics harnessing the power of modern engines, Firegirl takes you on an exhilarating journey through a variety of burning places, including dense forests, luxury hotels, bullet trains, and multi-story apartment blocks.
Between missions, you can stay in the firehouse to upgrade your equipment and hire new staff so that you are better equipped for the burning challenges ahead. As if Firegirl didn’t already have enough to do, the question also arises as to what is behind the torrent of fires that ravaged the city.
