Crash, Spyro, Ratchet, Clank – some of the most famous mascots of the first generations of PlayStation are still alive and well. Unfortunately, the appeal is still missing Sly Cooper, who has not been seen in the company of his gang since 2013, the year in which Thieves in Time was released for PS3.
Since then, numerous rumors have alternated, the last of which dates back to a few weeks ago, when the logo of the series appeared in a PlayStation commercial, in the midst of many other video game symbols already confirmed or coming out. Sony continues to remain silent, but in the meantime a further indiscretion has emerged. To share it was Shpeshal_Nick, co-founder of Xbox Era full of contacts within the videogame industry.
The insider had already anticipated the return of Sly Cooper on PS5 last August, and in the past few hours he is on the subject to let us know that he has got further confirmation. This time, to have confirmed the existence of a new game starring the raccoon thief it would have been his usual internal source at Sony, which has proven to be reliable in the past. Among the rumors that later turned out to be true we include the acquisition of Bluepoint Games, the appearance of God of War Ragnarok at the PlayStation Showcase and the DLC of the Isle of Iki of Ghost of Tsushima.
Although the historian speaks in favor of Nick, we still invite you to take this information with a grain of salt pending an official announcement from Sony. Would you like to play a new Sly Cooper game?
