The crew of The Last of Us made it to Edmonton. Filming is taking place right in the city center: the decorators tried to recreate the atmosphere of the post-apocalypse on a couple of blocked streets.
Burnt or overturned carcasses and heaps of rubbish appeared on the roads. In some locations, the film crew added whole paving craters; apparently, in the series, fierce battles were fought on these streets.
One of the buildings was escaped with artificial ivy – after all, many years have passed since the beginning of the apocalypse. Judging by the photographs, shops and establishments on the first floors of the streets where the shooting is taking place were asked not to work for a while.
Work on the first season of the series will be carried out at least until the summer of 2022. The show has no premiere date yet.
