Amazon’s Fire TV Omni Series and Fire TV 4-Series smart TVs, introduced last month, have officially started shipping today. Each family includes models of different diagonals, but all have 4K resolution. At the last minute before the start of sales, Amazon announced that its new items “in the near future” will receive support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.

AirPlay 2 wireless technology lets you stream content from iPhones, iPads and Macs to your TV. The integration of HomeKit features, in turn, will allow you to control your Amazon Fire TV Omni Series and Fire TV 4-Series TVs using the Siri virtual assistant or the Home app for iOS.
It is worth noting that support for these functions has already been implemented in some Toshiba and Insignia TVs equipped with Amazon Fire TV set-top boxes, with which Amazon has been cooperating for a long time. That said, these features have yet to appear on standalone Fire TV boxes, including the latest Fire TV Stick 4K Max.
The advanced Amazon Fire TV Omni Series will come in five sizes: 43, 50, 55, 65 and 75 inches. The smallest model will cost $ 410, while the TV with a 75-inch matrix will cost $ 1100. The 65-inch and 75-inch models will offer support for Dolby Vision HDR technology. The younger ones are HDR10 certified.
Amazon Fire TV 4-Series TVs will be available in 43, 50 and 55-inch versions with prices ranging from $ 370 to $ 520. While the Fire TV 4-Series supports HLG and HDR10, none of the models in the series offer Dolby Vision. All Amazon TVs have built-in microphones and can be controlled with the Alexa virtual assistant.
